Benefits Information for New Staff

Introduction

The benefits presentation at New Staff Orientation (NSO) provides an overview of core and voluntary benefits available at Vanderbilt. Tuition benefits are covered in brief. The Office of Benefits Administration does not include information on leave accruals. The hiring manager should explain vacation, personal and sick time to new staff as soon as possible. (If needed, refer to the HR Policies web page for more information.)

Benefits Enrollment

Staff

Health, dental and vision benefits for staff begin on the hire date. Monthly premiums are not pro-rated (the entire monthly cost is due for the month which benefits begin). To enroll, use the C2HR Benefits Enrollment Tool within 30 days of your hire date:

  1. Go to C2HR and log in with your VUnetID and ePassword
  2. Click on the link for Benefits Enrollment
  3. Make your benefits selections
  4. Print your benefits enrollment receipt and keep it for your records
