Vanderbilt Child & Family Center (VCFC) provides support and resources to the community of Vanderbilt families across the spectrum of life. As reflected in our provision of new parent support, early childhood education, family life resources, and elder care support, VCFC values the university's commitment to the education of the whole person and cultivation of lifelong learning.

Kathleen Seabolt

Welcome to the Vanderbilt Child and Family Center!

As Executive Director, it is my privilege to work with a talented team dedicated to providing resources across the spectrum of life to the Commodore community. Since our founding over 35 years ago, VCFC has supported Vanderbilt’s working families by understanding their changing and complex needs and responding with information and programs to enable the university’s continued excellence. Through inter-departmental collaboration and ongoing reflection, VCFC embraces the potential for new partnerships that will further these goals. The work of human development is dynamic, rooted in respectful relationships, co-constructed and, ultimately, deeply rewarding.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Seabolt, Ed.D.
