The Employee Celebration team puts together an entertaining event for Vanderbilt staff who are celebrating a significant service anniversary of 20 or more years, up to sometimes 60 years of service.

You can be sure to see senior leaders in attendance congratulating our coworkers for their longtime commitment to Vanderbilt and presenting them with a service pin. It’s a special celebration to the people who make Vanderbilt a great place to work.

Commodore Award

The Commodore Award recognizes and rewards significant individual staff achievements in Vanderbilt University’s pursuit of excellence in education, health care, research and community service. Staff members who hold a regular full-time position below the level of director or department head for at least three years are eligible for nomination. The award(s) are presented during the Service Award Celebration and recipients receive a crystal bowl, engraved with the Vanderbilt logo, and a cash award.
