Employee Relations Mission Statement
The Employee Relations staff is committed to contributing to a positive and productive work environment by providing services that address organizational employment practices and foster staff satisfaction.
Some of these services are:
- coordinating the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leaves of absence
- assuring adherence to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- providing review and consistency to Vanderbilt University policies and practices
- mediating conflicts
Employee relations representatives are available to communicate and train on all policy related matters to managers, supervisors and staff.
