To comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Vanderbilt is required to verify the identity and employment eligibility of new employees or employees assigned to a covered federal contract. Vanderbilt uses the electronic Form I-9 that is sent through e-Verify. Vanderbilt's I-9 and E-Verify vendor is Verified Persons.
New Employees: How to Complete an I-9

Before or on your hire date, you will receive an email from vanderbilti9@vpassure.com with a link to complete Section 1 of your I-9. You need to complete Section 1 of your Form I-9 by your first day of work. If you do not receive the email, or if you have difficulty accessing the link, please email i9@vanderbilt.edu. |

Gather documentation that establishes your identity and employment authorization. See a list of acceptable documents. |

Take your documents to one of the Vanderbilt I-9 offices (listed below) no later than your third day of employment. You can complete your I-9 before your employment start date, as along as you have accepted the job offer.
