Provides classes and events that promote a healthy lifestyle. Offers learning opportunities such as group fitness classes, weight management workshops, and the Babies and You prenatal health promotion series.
Provides programs as an employee benefit that support the health and performance of the Vanderbilt community by connecting the Vanderbilt community with resources when life is challenging. Offers Critical Incident Stress Management and departmental workshops on topics such as stress resilience and encountering distressed patients and families.
Provides an opportunity to learn how to navigate within PeopleSoft 8.8; view various components of information such as Job Data, Personal Data, Position Management, Leave Accrual Information and Pay Data; and run an existing query in PeopleSoft 8.8 to HTML and to Excel.
Vanderbilt Performance Evaluation System (VPES) Workshops
Provides training on the VPES initiative and system for new managers and supervisors. Includes discussion as well as demonstration of the online system.
Provides the organizational results of both the VUMC and the University community surveys as well as resources for supervisors that include tip guides, action planning tools and group overview workshops.
Office of International Services
Periodically offers workshops on issues relating to employing international staff.
Provides consultation and advice to management and staff on employment issues. Communicates and educates on all policy related matters to managers, supervisors and staff.
Provides orientation and role specific training for new VUMC staff, assists in helping staff meet competenciees and regulatory requirements, serves as a resource, provides consultation, and supports organizational effectiveness throughout the clinical enterprise by helping Patient Care Centers and departments during start-up, transitions, and cultural change.
Department of Finance Training
Provides training opportunities focused primarily on accounting, financial, and business systems for both departmental and medical center-wide staff.
Provides staff with the tools needed to serve Vanderbilt's patients. The SSS department functions as an interface between system developers and the end-users in the design, planning, training, implementation and on-going support of various clinical computer applications, including Medipac and StarPanel.
Elevate is the name that VUMC has attached to the ambition to be one of the best and the journey to get there. Office for Teaching and Learning in Medicine
Provides educational resources and expertise, professional development opportunities and research agendas that inform best educational practices for faculty.
Faculty Orientation and Training Office
Serves as the central portal for access to training by faculty involved in clinical care and biomedical research and education and assists in facilitating the development of additional training requirements.
The purpose of the Forum is to provide information to business administrators relevant to their vital role and to gather information from business administrators to critique the program and offer opinions on future programs. Guidelines for participation can be found on the site.

Financial Information Systems (University)
Provides training classes for systems such as Business Objects, eDog (in conjunction with Department of Finance training), eProcurement and General Ledger.
Conducts confidential individual consultations, facilitates faculty and graduate student working groups, offers practical and theoretical workshops on teaching and learning, and provides other programs and services to support all aspects of the educational process and advance teaching excellence.
Workplace Learning Collaborative
Requires VUnetID. A group of individuals from several areas across the University and Medical Center who are working together to facilitate a vision for workplace learning at Vanderbilt.
Provides a one-stop source of event information for Vanderbilt students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and the Nashville community and includes learning opportunities.
Serves as the online portal for yearly safety training.
Serves as the online portal for yearly compliance training as well as other online e-learning modules.
Online Training from Information Technology Services
ITS offers free training for three different software packages to anyone with a VUnetID and e-password. The CBT modules are short Flash movies. They are produced by Shores Media LLC. You can watch the modules in order or jump directly to one that interests you. Modules for Office 2007 include Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.
Through the employee discount program, Vanderbilt faculty and staff can attend computer training courses at CompUSA and New Horizons Computer Learning Center at a discount.
