In her role as the Organizational Effectiveness Team's HR Representative, Marla Ballou serves as the main presenter for Vanderbilt's New Staff Orientation, facilitates workshops through Human Resources and with teams on campus, coordinates the Nuts and Bolts course series, and provides assistance for other team projects. Her workshops include Dealing with Difficult Behaviors, Managing Workplace Negativity, Professional Telephone Skills, and Making Meetings More Effective. Marla is also involved in high-level support and planning for the Community Survey.
Marla earned her B.A. in linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently working towards an M.S. in Information Science from the University of Tennessee.
