Returning Employees

If you are a returning employee in an eligible position and you were participating in and eligible for the retirement match during your previous Vanderbilt employment, you are required to participate at the mandatory level. Mandatory deferrals begin as soon as practical after an employee becomes subject to the requirement to make them, which generally is the first pay period of the first full month immediately following your re-employment. Proof of previous eligibility may be requested prior to re-enrollment.

To enroll, visit www.netbenefits.com/vanderbilt to set up your account (if needed), choose your voluntary contribution percentage, designate your beneficiary(-ies), make investment selections for both your mandatory and voluntary contributions. If you do not do these things, you will be enrolled at the mandatory contribution level and your contributions will be directed to a target date fund aligned with the year closest to when you will turn 65.
