Transfers, Reclassifications & Title Changes:

If the change occurs January 1- June 30:

  • Lateral Change (no change in pay grade) - Staff member's previous supervisor completes an evaluation at the end of service and the staff member's increase will be based on that evaluation.
  • Promotion or Downgrade - Pay is normally adjusted at the time of the change. Therefore, the staff member may be eligible for an increase following 6 months of service in the new position (please refer to the appropriate schedule above).

If the change occurs July 1 - December 31:

  • The staff member may be eligible for an increase based on their next annual evaluation and in accordance with the annual increase program.

PROCESS for Mid-Year Performance Increases ( New Hire/Transfer):

  1. Complete full evaluation and submit to HRS as soon as possible following 6 months of service in a position.
  2. Complete PAF or ePAC and send to University Payroll per the guidelines of the Wage & Salary program. The increase will be effective at the beginning of the next pay cycle. Please plan ahead to get the paperwork in to meet payroll deadlines (available on the HRS website).
