Biography

Jermaine Soto leads Vanderbilt University's Office of Faculty Affairs efforts in promoting data-driven and holistic initiatives to improve faculty recruitment and development. Soto curates the most impactful resources that support the faculty lifecycle andcareer pathways. He convenes various committees, working groups, and advisory groups to ascertain the best approaches to meeting faculty development needs. He collaborates with various Vanderbilt University stakeholders, representing all the schools/colleges and Provost areas. Soto also communicates effective strategies and the many faculty efforts and successes to highlight excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Specific areas within Soto’s portfolio includes leading and guiding all faculty andacademic leadership development initiatives, leading all internal faculty awards processes and guiding the university in their inclusive faculty search efforts.
