The addition of a new dependent child due to birth/adoption/legal guardianship is considered to be a qualifying event, which allows you to declare a Family Status Change and make changes to your benefits during the plan year. Changes must be made within 30 days of the birth/adoption/legal guardianship and consistent with and as a result of the addition of the child. If you have questions, please contact People Experience.
Action Items Checklist:
- Change tax withholding status (if applicable).
Change your tax withholding online in Oracle. Go to Pay > Tax Withholding > Select the edit button then make your changes. Make sure you agree with the disclaimer and save the changes. - Make changes to benefits (if applicable).
