Biography

As the Assistant Director of Strategy and Operations in the newly created Office of Digital Education, Amanda plays a key role in shaping and executing the vision for ODE. Working closely with academic leaders, faculty and online teams, Amanda will define and implement key strategies and processes that ensure ODE is an effective enabler of digital education across the university.

Outside of her daily responsibilities, Amanda is an active member within the Vanderbilt Community. In 2019 she was the co-chair for the USAC Staff Life committee, where she helped design and submit a staff professional development proposal. In 2021, she was elected to serve as the USAC Vice President and President Elect. Amanda is passionate about providing staff with exceptional resources to define successful career paths in higher education.

When Amanda is not working or spending time on other professional adventures, you can find her lifting weights at the gym, reading a book by the pool, cuddling her cat Chloe, or traveling to tropical places. Originally from Batavia, New York, Amanda made her way to Nashville six years ago via Charlotte, NC. While she loves the warmer winters, she will always be a Buffalo Bills fan.

Amanda earned her BS in Business Administration from The College at Brockport, State University of NY and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Buffalo State College.
