Vision Plan
Vanderbilt University's vision provider is DeltaVision, which has partnered with VSP, the nation’s largest vision provider, to offer coverage. Eye health is part of your overall health, and regular eye exams can help to identify vision-related problems such as glaucoma and cataracts, but also other health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. DeltaVision members receive quality care that focuses on their eyes and overall wellness.
Vanderbilt University offers one vision plan option. Your coverage includes eye examinations, prescription eye wear and contact lenses, retinal screenings, prescription sunglasses, and eye health management.
To access your vision benefits, you’ll need to set up an account with VSP. If you received a member ID card in the mail, please visit VSP.com, and click Create an Account at the top right of the page.
If you have not received a member ID card or have lost your card, please visit deltadental.com and select Sign In/Register under Member Portal. From here either sign in or register as a new user. More detailed information along with visual aids are listed below under DeltaVision Resources. If you have any issues accessing the site, please contact benefits@vanderbilt.edu.
VSP offers a broad network of providers. Using an in-network provider will help you reduce your out-of-pocket costs. To find a provider visit VSP.com to search for a network provider. You can also access your VSP member portal to view benefits, view claim history, find special offers and more.
Please note: Members can view cards online through vsp.com but if you would like to have a new card mailed to you, you must request it through Delta Dental.
Premiums
Premiums can be found under Quick Links on both the Staff and Faculty new hire pages. Premiums are usually noted as monthly amounts, but if you are paid weekly or biweekly, these amounts will be divided evenly between your paychecks each month. Your personal premiums will also be available in My VU Benefits when you enroll in coverage.
