Biography

Julie graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture.  Upon graduating, she served as a project manager and later transitioned into an Owner and Principal at Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects (JJCA), here in Nashville.  After working for JJCA for 18 years, she departed the firm to join Vanderbilt University as the Associate Director of Campus Planning.  Julie has been at Vanderbilt for almost 9 years, overseeing the design and construction of the Engineering and Science Building; School of Nursing Expansion; Divinity Renovation and Addition; just to name a few.  Currently Julie oversees the department and the 5 project managers who all serve to provide oversight of all capital projects, facility renewals and masterplanning efforts.  Julie is a native Nashvillian and graduate of University School of Nashville where she currently serves on the Building and Grounds Committee.
