Biography

Trace Wilgus joined the Vanderbilt Athletics staff in 2018 and oversees the athletic department’s compliance, student services and student-athlete development efforts. He also serves as the sport administrator for the men’s basketball and men’s tennis programs.

Wilgus spent nine years in progressive compliance roles at Texas, rising to the rank of assistant athletic director prior to his arrival to Vanderbilt.

Wilgus has served the National Association for Athletics Compliance in varying capacities and leadership roles, and serves as the organization’s first vice president.

Wilgus earned an undergraduate degree from Purdue and a master’s degree from Louisville.
