Biography
Since August 2020, Lauren Rodgers has served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chancellor and the Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trust. In this joint role, Ms. Rodgers provides executive management services for the Office of the Chancellor and the Chief of Staff and partners with the Secretary to the Board of Trust to develop all Board, committee and other programmatic agendas and schedules, create and/or coordinate agenda materials, and facilitate communication in support of the Board.
At Vanderbilt, Ms. Rodgers also worked for seven years as a Senior Program Manager in the Office of Faculty Affairs within the Office of the Provost. In that role, she was involved with the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, creation of Immersion Vanderbilt, and management of the Chancellor Faculty Fellows program.
Originally from Evansville, Indiana, Ms. Rodgers moved to Nashville 19 years ago to attend Vanderbilt University. She is proud Double Dore with a B.S. (Human and Organizational Development and Sociology, magna cum laude) and M.Ed. (Higher Education Administration) from Vanderbilt and has a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville. In her spare time, Ms. Rodgers enjoys spending time with her spouse (John) and their two young sons (Jack and Sam) and watching travel vlogs/vacation planning.
