How will data be used?

Data in Oracle will be accessible to staff themselves and also to their managers and senior leaders and those with data responsibilities in HR, as is the case with existing demographic data in Oracle. Aggregated data may be used by other decision-makers, but individual identities will be removed unless there is a specific need for names to be shared. 

Data from the anonymous diversity survey will be analyzed by the Office of Data and Strategic Analytics and shared with senior leaders and Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in order to understand Vanderbilt’s diversity and shape programming and other outreach efforts appropriately.
