Q. If a staff member is evaluated during the annual evaluation period, goes on leave in May, and then comes back to work, when will they receive their increase?
A. If the staff member is on paid leave, the increase may become effective at the time of eligibility. If the staff member is on unpaid leave, the increase may become effective when they return to work.

Q. I have a staff member on leave, do I still need to evaluate their performance?
A. The performance evaluation should be completed when the staff member returns from leave, as long as they have six months in the current role.
